More carnage on the bubble as Northwestern, Memphis, Colorado, and Utah all go down. Memphis and Colorado are playing themselves out of contention, and Utah has now lost 5 of their last 6.

Great night, indeed. We're fortunate that USC and UCLA performed well below their talent levels early in the season. Hopefully both teams can continue to play spoiler down the stretch.

One big bubble game tonight as Seton Hall hosts Xavier. I don't like to root for X but I will hold my nose and do it.

Richmond will be trying to avoid a bad loss against UMass. They currently sit atop the A10 and will look to survive a bunch of Q3 landmines to finish out the month before getting a couple of Q2 opportunities in March. A home win over Dayton is the only thing keeping them alive right now.

So Seton Hall gets a Q2 win. Maybe Lunardi will move them back ahead of us.

Richmond got blown up by Frank Martin's UMass landmine. They've now got two Q3 losses and just one Q1 win. And since they're no longer leading the A10 they'll drop out of everyone's brackets, including Lunardi and Palm.

X is getting crushed right now and I’m not upset. I suppose if Seton Hall finishes the job, their metrics could take a jump with a large margin of victory. I’m sure sedz can educate us on why that’s not good for UC. But X at 13-12 (7-7 in a meh Big East) wouldn’t exactly scream quality win.

Xavier sucks. That's all you need to know.

Haha, that makes no sense but I'll take it. Seton Hall hasn't played yet this week. They haven't recorded a quality win since January 16 though.

Beat UCF (would be a Q1 win) on Saturday, and we can continue the conversation here... But metrics remain pretty solid. Just need to stack some wins, as the schedule largely gets easier.

If we lose to UCF, I think we could be in for a world of hurt, and may even play ourseilves out of an NIT bid.

The big winner of the night was New Mexico who finally got a quality road win.

On balance I don't think we lost much ground.
