On a related note, Vik didn’t see the floor again tonight. He was “out sick” for several games, and then gave us zero when he returned. Is there more to his illness than we’ve been told?

Day Day's defense on Smalls was great. He was the only good defender really. Smalls scored 15 points from the field on 15 shots. He was literally the only player who didn't score more than a point per shot.

Was not able to watch the game. Listened to the last 4 seconds on WLW. Had no idea how the ‘Cats would play. It was apparently far worse than any expectations. Crushing loss to a bad team, likely ending any NCAA chances. Now they go on the road for the next two games, both likely losses, definitely against Houston.

This is a common theme in every loss and most wins. We seem to have no idea how to adjust on the fly to what the other team does. I seriously question this staff's ability to run a B12 program. I'm also tired of hearing Miller say how much he likes this team and how hard they are taking these losses. You can't continue to make the sloppy plays they do and think you are going to win in this league. That's why they haven't won back to back games in league play.Originally posted by sedz View PostIt's not even an adjustment for them. They play a small lineup like that EVERY GAME. Why were we not prepared?

Not in the 2nd half. Again, Jizzle was the hot shooter, and Wes pulled him after he got the fans in the game.Originally posted by Bearcat9796 View Postwe were -11 with jj on court tonight

Wes admits his error to Dan Hoard "They did a good job of making an adjustment and going small ball."
Then WTF is our staff doing? How did we not know that was coming and have no answer?

The unforced turnovers, are this teams Achilles Heel! The worst passing team I've witnessed at UC.

Now you understand what I have been saying about Aziz. He fouled Keller (I believe) at the three-point line and gave up a three to Dailey all within the last few minutes of the game. Those shots made the difference in the game down the stretch. You are correct, Miller should have had Oguama or Reed on Dailey.Originally posted by sedz View PostAziz simply can't guard the perimeter. And if we're not going to find him in the post against a small defender, he shouldn't be in the game. We should have Ody or Reed at the 5 when Dailey is out there.

Let's face it. This team and Miller's leadership and strategy has far more weaknesses than this one situation. Again I love Jizzle on offense but Small just took him right to the basket on the other side and got it back. I still feel this team has far more talent than it demonstrates. That's on the coaching staff.Originally posted by longtimefan View Post
How did that work out? Jizzle got the crowd into the game. He came in when we were down 4, and left at the 8:12 mark we were up 1. We lost by four. Jizzle was the best player on the court when Wes subbed him out.
Nelson put it well on postgame. You lost to a team of freshmen at home who had no road wins in conference. Completely unacceptable!

I feel really bad for John Newman, he’ll leave UC without playing in the NCAA, same for Ody Oguama. That just can’t happen for a UC Bearcat.
