Yeah, that's optimistic if anything. Torvik has us losing by 16, and he doesn't have a team specific home court advantage. Houston's home court advantage is #4 in the country per Evan Miya. So the statistical line would be in the +18 range. Oddsmakers are showing us some respect saying we're about 5 points better than that.

I mainly want to see better rebounding in this game. We know Houston is a great offensive rebounding team (35% of their misses in conference), but we let them beat their average against us. We're supposed to be a good rebounding team too, and we actually have been the best offensive rebounding team in the Big12, even better than Houston. We have the size and ability, but we need to go out there and show it. Our players can't be watching the ball or the rim, they've got to body up. If the bigs aren't up to the task, take them out and rebound with quickness. A big who doesn't rebound is useless in this game.

We went on a 15-0 run in the first matchup. We're capable of beating them for stretches. But then Houston went on a 19-3 run right after.

Our gameplan was good. We only put up 13 midrange shots compared to Houston's 31. We only had 8 turnovers. We held Shead to only 14 points from the field on a ridiculous 25 shots. But we got beat by 8 on the offensive glass.

The Athletic Pulse has a squib suggesting the world should watch this game to see if Houston is really #1 and crush UC or will UC make it close?

My additional take on this game is I'd love to shock the world on this one but if they lose, they need to be in the fight the whole 40 min regardless of score. It's not often you get a shot at #1.

If they get down big and mail it in, we have much bigger problems going forward. Fight to the Finish and maybe we can get something going for an end of season run and a couple of Ws in the Big XII tourney. We've been going backwards for the last few games. The team needs to correct that trend regardless of post season opportunities.

I always been taught you play to the last whistle/buzzer. You can look at yourself when you do. Sadly, that often means little today.

Getting great looks on offense and controlling the defensive glass. These kind of games have to be so frustrating for the staff. Doing everything right from a strategy standpoint. Just can't finish at the rim or hit wide open threes.

1-10 at the under 16, 0-4 from three. Is it possible to shoot 10%?
