I figured they would run as CWM said something when Ray came in

Very nice. I enjoy this team so far. Of course I love winning.

They may be working on his shot still. He has a pretty vicious side spin on his jumpers. I missed tonight's game but I'll go back and watch it tomorrow and look for it.

Simas was again player of the game, just as he was the first two games. He had 9.9 net points and a 24.2 BPM. 19 points on only 11 shots with 6 assists and 6 rebounds. Reed came in second with 4.7 net points. Good to see him finding a rhythm.

Betsey had the worst performance with -2.9 net points. He struggled on both ends. Just ahead was Hickman with -2.7, struggling for the second consecutive game.

Aziz was our best defender but somehow came away with zero rebounds.

We went a 20-0 run from the 3:45 mark of the 1st half to the 16:39 mark of the 2nd half. A healthy Simas is a complete game changer while Jizzle has been lights out over the past two 2nd halves.

I thought tonight was definitely our best all-around performance considering Nicholls was a step above our first two opponents. We're up to 11th in KenPom now. Well deserved - especially with Dan and Day Day out.

This team is quite-a-surprise. I did not expect this team to be a dominate defensive team. Let's see if UC basketball can continue to play this way the entire season.

I realize that it is only three games into the season, but take the time to check out UC's stats over these three games. The stats are amazing. Check them out for yourself.

CWM did make Ray's shooting a priority. He had to learn to put it up and not be hesitant. You can't score unless you shoot. The Shot Dr. is needed on an emergency call. The good news is CWM is on the job too.

I went back to analyze the play-by-play scripts and calculated Dillon Mitchell's +/- numbers to be +39, +38, and +41 across our first three games.

I know the stat itself has its flaws, but I think it still shows to some degree the immense impact Mitchell has had on the court thus far.

His FT stroke is excellent. Small sample, but the best I’ve seen around here in a long time.

Dillon Mitchell is an absolute lockdown on-ball defender. He's long and quick. It didn't matter which Colonels player he wound up on, that player could do nothing. It also helps that either Aziz or Page is helping inside.
