Simas gets lazy sometimes, but then he drains another three and it's hard to complain.

I think I have seen more alley-oops this season in a few games than I have seen in entire years. Holy cow, the Cats bring a lot of these. Simas looks so confident on those threes as well. That last one was drained with a guy all up in his face.

GT had 4 fouls in the 1st 4 minutes of the 2nd half. They’ve only been whistled for 1 foul since.

Unlimited potential with this team-I like what they’re showing so far. Beating X is a must this year.

I'd like to get Dan back. Simas and Dillon Mitchell need to stay healthy. This was a beat down today. Sky's the limit.

I liked how they were still getting after it late in the game when the outcome wasn't in doubt.

Jizzle was today's player of the game, putting up 5.7 net points and a team best 7.3 defensive BPM. If he's hitting from midrange (4 of 5 today) and playing great defense, he takes the whole team up a level. 7 assists with only one turnover too.

Hickman was the best player in his time on the court, leading in overall and offensive BPM. A very efficient 14 points on only 8 shots. Mitchell also had a great game on both sides of the ball (including on the boards) with a 12.0 BPM.

Reed and Page had the worst games, and Simas had his first poor game. He had a negative defensive BPM and negative net points in this one.

John Fanta: A dominant road performance by @GoBearcatsMBB at Georgia Tech as Cincinnati rolled to an 81-58 win. Wes Miller’s team is up to #7 in KenPom. Between Connor Hickman, Jizzle James and Simas Lukosius, tons of perimeter fire power and Dillon Mitchell had 14 and 11. UC is legit!

Jon Rothstein: Cincinnati beats Georgia Tech by 23 in Atlanta without Dan Skillings. Bearcats look the part of a squad that will comfortably be in the top half of the Big 12. Wes Miller has a terrific basketball team.

Fran Fraschilla: If you followed @GoBearcatsMBB closely last season and see who they’ve added, this team has Sweet 16 potential. I keep thinking that they have at least eight starters. And, their coach is a rising star.

I flew into Atlanta from NYC to see the game as a birthday gift to myself. Had an absolute blast. UC was very well represented in the crowd. Easily 10-15% of the total attendees.

Very happy with the team effort - particularly from the 5 starters. So many big dunks and blocks throughout the game. Day Day and Betsy had some strong moments off the bench too. Worried about AP's defense against quality opponents. He fouled out awfully quick. My non-UC friend who joined me was surprised that we were bringing players of Rayvon's quality off the bench for garbage time.

Was happy to see Wes coaching him after fouling out and AP's eyes were totally focused on Wes. Appears to be really coachable.

Still things to work on, but this team looks to be special.

Am really hoping this was just a hometown kid getting to play in front of family and friends and getting a little too amped up and trying to do too much-we have seen this over and over especially in the younger players. I think Wes staying on his guy even after he made a mistake to follow Isaiah Collier to USC is going to pay off. He was an afterthought in the Collier/Bronny carnival there last year, but he has all the tools and Wes keeps saying how coachable he is. This was his first bad game for us, and going deep into his game logs over the past 2 years, he hasn't had much foul trouble although admittedly with limited run. He had 1 game with 5 fouls and 1 with 4 last year-both against Oregon St-not sure if there was a matchup or personal issue there, but otherwise he has not been particularly foul-prone as a big.

Think Hickman also showed what he brings to the team-as others have said, high basketball IQ, plays hard, and a sneaky good athlete and rebounder from the guard spot. I think he is going to have games this year where he is a real difference maker.

Agreed -- Too many just want Skillings and he often plays totally out of control. Hickman was brought in to provide maturity and thinking. He can score as well. Overall, the rebounding was better, but not physical enough and they only outrebounded GT after the game was lopsided. JJ had stats that some count, but his passing was totally uneven for a PG. I totally love the quickness of Mitchell. He has to be in the plans for X and Dayton. I believe it will be a physical defense on him and we will find out if his time in the Big 12 has helped him. I was happy to see Ray get some minutes as CWM is working with him. Betsey will soon be a favorite of most of us. You just have to love his confidence and it shows on both offense and defense. I don't think CJ played and hasn't since he went down a couple of games ago. I am not sure if he is in the plans anymore. Overall, an enjoyable game as the Cats won. I know I am tough on them, but it is time they beat X and go to the Tournament.
