Alabama St. comes to town from the SWAC. They are 3-2 on the season and look halfway decent on paper. They have 3 double figure scorers and some height at the center position but the centers don't log a lot of minutes. One weird thing I noticed is that there are no players from Alabama on the roster.

If you want to scout them, they play Akron today at 3:00 on ESPN+ . They've lost to UNLV and LSU and their wins have been small schools like Lamar.

I didn't watch the game, but it apparently was a track meet between AL State and Akron. The Zips won, 97-79, while murdering the Hornets on the boards, 49-25.

It doesn't look as though either team guarded the arc. Akron went 15/35 (42.9%), while AL State shot 16/33 (48.5%).

I can't see the Hornets staying within 25 of the Bearcats Wednesday night. Griffith, Reed, and Dzellat should see a bit of floor time.

The students will not be around for this game. There should be several tickets available. I doubt if 5/3rd is over 75-percent capacity.
