I know it’s early in the season, but I’m still waiting for Wes to be a good X’s & O’s coach. To date, no marquee wins (not just here, but at UNCG, too) only a couple of ranked wins & to the best of my knowledge, no wins vs a higher ranked team. Villanova to date is a .500 team with losses to weak teams and no good wins. What I’m seeing (again) tonight are curious lineups, haphazard defense and honestly low IQ basketball. Good recruiter at UC? Yep. Good coach? Not that I’ve seen yet.

He can scheme against it. Double team, different zone looks, etc.

He's already hit multiple threes and got 4 rebounds and pts in the paint and he's hit intermediate shots. The only defensive thing you could is deny him the ball. But we don't have anyone fast enough or tenacious enough to shadow him where ever he goes.

As mentioned earlier, we need a PG badly. I just find it hard to believe Wes can’t recruit one. This is a disorganized team. Villanova is 60-something Kenpom ☹️

Stop Eric Dixon. All you need to know. Nova is 4-4 with losses to Maryland, St Joe's, Columbia, and Virginia. They have really struggled under Kyle Neptune.

Dixon, a 6'8 PF, is their best player by far and is averaging 25 ppg including a 38 point outburst in the loss to Maryland. He's also the Wildcats leading rebounder at 6.6 rpg. You can't foul him at 90% FT either.

Keeping the unfortunately named PG Jhamir Brickus out of the paint is key as well. He's an assist machine but also has a 2:1 assist to turnover ratio.

Outside of Enoch Boakye at 6'11, they don't have a lot of height on the team. Everyone else is 6'9 or under.

I will say that is a priority. He was afraid of losing JJ if he brought one in, but now, with Thomas leaving, they can do it.
