Statement from Head Coach Wes Miller: “Jizzle James has been dealing with personal issues throughout summer. We removed him from the team last month. He is currently not a member of our basketball program. As this is a personal matter, I have no further comment at this time.”

Jizzle's bio has been removed from UC's roster page. It was up roughly an hour ago.

I'm hoping Abaev is good enough to start right away, pushing Harris to the bench. I like that group offensively. If Abaev can't defend it will be tough to keep him out there with Kriisa.

let's ee how they mesh as a team. It is time for team over individuals. What a disaster the last two years. My thoughts are we don't have to see James Sr. mentioned on telecasts more than the Cats.

Lol. Honestly based on the IG account stuff the last week or so, I'm not shocked this happened much sooner than we knew.

I mentioned that it looked like he wasn't running stuff by UC on social. Looks like he definitely wasn't because he was off the team at the time.

I feel sorry for the kid. he had big shoes to fill and he wasn't doing so good. Hope he considers that there is one greater than all and is willing to help whatever our situation is. I wonder if the team will be better, but I think it will be more of a team.

Does this fills out CWM pink slip? Hopefully he makes the tourney without so many distractions. I noticed his body language when he was talking to James Sr. I also noticed after that talk, Jr went into the starting lineup. Let us ee what CWM can do and if he can control as well as teach his team in these vastly different times.

This news is great for Cincinnati freshman Shon Abaev and Keyshaun Tillery. Abaev is more of a wing but a big time scorer, but Tillery can pick up some big minutes that didn’t exist before”
