  • 2025-26 Roster

Since our disappointing season is practically over, it’s time to look at next year, to get the sight of this team out of our system.

As of today, next year we have:

    Jizzle James
    Dillon Mitchell
    Dan Skillings
    Josh Reed
    Rayvon Griffith
    Tyler Betsey
    Tyler McKinley
    Keyshaun Tillery
    Shon Abeav
    Halvine Dzellat
    Arrinten Page
    Connor Hickman (possibly)
    Day Day Thomas (possibly)
    JJ Rembert

We’ll see how it goes. We obviously need quality bigs. Looking at next year beats watching the end of this year.

    Is Page not returning?

Page, in theory, would be back. Rembert is a question mark. With teams going to roster limits instead of scholarship limits this coming season, Rembert would count against the limit whereas he really doesn't this year as a walk on. The walk on era is effectively over after this season.

There are two guys who I definitely want to keep, Day Day (as a starter) and Reed (20 minutes per game) consistently bring effort on a team of guys who don't seem to care.

Mitchell and Jizzle I could go either way on. Mitchell has the potential but I'm not sure he'll reach it and he doesn't consistently bring effort. Jizzle has potential, but too much mid range.

Griffith and MiKinley are unknown quantities, if they come back cheap give them another shot.

I think we really missed McKinley this year. He was a freshman, but probably a good 10-15 pounds heavier than Aziz, and based on what I saw from him in HS a lot more skilled. I don’t think he’ll be so easily pushed out of the way down low.

Regardless of how the season ends, there's going to likely be a fair amount of roster activity this offseason. You got guys like Skillings, Jizzle, and Mitchell who are all high-potential players and could likely command higher NIL payouts elsewhere. While Jizzle made incremental improvements this season, the 3 of them could all make a good case for their individual development stagnating under Wes and may want to play under a different coach or at least in a program that wins more consistently.

Then you have our bench guys. AP saw his role get reduced as the year went on and may want to go to a place where he'd be more likely to start in Year 3. Reed has one year of eligibility remaining (at the moment) and may not want to spend half of next season fighting for minutes after he inevitably gets recruited over again this offseason. Rayvon hardly saw the court this year and may want more consistent playing time in Year 3. Even someone like Dzellat may leave to go to a program with a French-speaking player since Aziz has graduated.

That's 6-7 guys right there who all have valid reasons for leaving.
