Seen several people mention him "crashing out" on an IG live and many expressing concern for his mental health/him as a person separate from anything basketball related.Originally posted by Lobot View PostYeah I'm not worried about it. I've seen his recent socials and the Georgia uniform thing is trolling at it's finest.
If he's just been trolling, seems like still questionable behavior.

There are rumors about Jizzle James out there right now, related to some recent activity on his Instagram IG account (wasn't there also something several weeks ago where he got "hacked"?).
I'd hope there weren't any issues with him but in a hypothetical world I think the backcourt--if healthy--would be okay with Kriisa, Thomas, Tillery, Harris.
I hate to be the posting rumors guy, but just putting it out there and someone else can chime in if they have more info. There's a whole thread over on BCJ with Chad Brendel yet to comment.
Update: Chad just posted a GIF that says "Not great, Bob!"Last edited by GoBearcats31; 07-25-2025, 11:34 AM.

Just saw a headline in the Cincinnati Enquirer that suggests this year's basketball team may be Miller's "best roster". I did not read the piece because I do not have access to the Enquirer. Also, Sports Illustrated is reporting the same thing about the roster. Likewise, I just read that UC will be a lot tougher this year, based on the first few practices.
I personally do not put much truth in all of that. I evaluate based on what I see and the data. The numbers don't lie. Most of the time, a person's eyes don't lie either. I am very excited to see this team. Hey, you know what? I was also excited about last year's team. Look how that played out. New season, new team. I like this roster.
I am in agreement. This may be Miller's best roster. Hopefully this roster can win games.Last edited by leeraymond; 07-17-2025, 03:10 PM.

It is hard to believe that there are only 2 Cats who had serious playing time returning for this year's team. The returners basically played the same position too. This is so different than past years. I am ready though. I need to put bodies to names and I am excited to learn their games. While a totally different time, I am excited to pick a new favorite and hopefully see many wins. Go Cats.

Have not viewed myself but here are videos today of:
- Wes Miller (almost 30 mins) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhdHgpWcYlM
- Day Day Thomas (8 mins) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tX9p1u2qPV0
- Baba Miller and Kerr Kriisa (15 mins) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dfOX1fZEyQ
Saw some tweets earlier, sounds like a minor setback for Tyler McKinley who should return to the court in 1-1.5 weeks.

That is good to hear. Somebody needs to push James and Thomas. Also, and this is important. If Tillery is good enough to earn starter's minutes, he should play starter's minutes. No politics or favoring the veterans. Play the guys that give you the best chance to win. As we all know, Coach Miller does not always do that. My guess is Tillery may be the first guard off of the bench. With Thomas and Tillery on the floor at the same time, UC's backcourt becomes super small.Originally posted by GoBearcats31 View PostOn the latest BCJ podcast, Chad Brendel shared some of what he's heard from summer workouts and it sounds as though Keyshuan Tillery has been very impressive.
However, a team can win with a small backcourt. UCONN won the national championship in 2014 with Shabazz Napier and Ryan Boatright. Also, Louisville won the national championship in 2013 with Russ Smith and Peyton Siva. Please note that UL had the title taken away because of some NCAA violations. Nevertheless, Smith and Siva manhandled Duke in that championship game.
If UC can play good solid defense, this smallish backcourt may be able to impose its will on the other team in most of the games. This upcoming season should be very interesting. Here is hoping that everyone stays healthy.

Is Buckingham a walk-on?Originally posted by GoBearcats31 View PostBryson Buckingham was added to the roster (#0 - 6-2, 170 lb. freshman from Edmond, Okla.). His commitment was mentioned on the recruiting forum recently.

Speaking of offseason additions, per IG, it appears Jizzle James added a "21" tattoo across the front of his neck/over his throat.
