Yeah, let's see how Mitchell likes playing in New York City. The fans are brutal in the Big Apple. Being a poor free throw shooter might not be tolerated in NY like it was in Cincinnati.

Nevertheless, the fans will love his athleticism and death-defying dunks. Go get 'em Mitchell. Good luck to you.

No Question, the biggest roster loss this year! His defense and rebounding will be sorely missed along with his athleticism.

If Dillon works on his FT, and Mid Range Shot, he's a First Team All American! And a First Round Draft Pick!

Some had real floor leaders distributing the ball and others had ball hog dribblers and hurried passes as the shot clock ran out. Some had boxing out expectations and training plus teammate helping out on a rebound. Some had teammates standing around and watching. It is so hard to compare with such variances. Again, this is why I will wait to see how they mesh with CWM and their new team. We might have a leader brought in who makes the guards get them the ball (remember KMART threatening his guards). We may have a bruiser causing the opponents not wanting to go under the basket for a RB (remember most Bearcats). These are things to be determined.
It is funny that you mention making the guards give the ball up. Mel Levett once said that if Art Long or Dan Fortson called for the ball and did not get it, the person that did not give them the ball might get punched in the face in the locker room.

I would not go to those extremes, but I get your point. I remember in many games where Lakhin would call for the ball and never get it. The last UC bigs that called for the ball and got the ball were Clark and Washington. UC needs some intimidating big men that DEMAND the ball. Haynes may be that guy. He is 6'8" 260 and is a load.

It is going to be interesting to see if James and Thomas become the type of teammates that get these new guys involved with the offense.

Also, there are no stats that account for team chemistry and playing together with toughness and intelligence. At least I have not seen anything like that.

Another 1,430 entered from D2, some of whom are trying to move up.

Crazy. I’d like to know the number of those 2,499 who land somewhere for next year, whether with the team they played with in 24-25 or with a new team.

The kid did us a favor going to UK. Not a high major player.
