i agree, but eastern michigan wasn't a letdown. it was a disaster - EMU controlled the game from start to finish. when a P4 gets outhustled and outmuscled by a mediocre MAC team, that's just a complete beatdown.Originally posted by longtimefan View Post

Yeah, hopefully it won’t be full of ads and distractions, and I hope it doesn’t become the basketball version of that horrible Boise State blue field. I’ll take the wood floor.Originally posted by D.A.H. View Postlooks cool, and i can see a lot of new info on it, to keep things lively. but, part of me still appreciates walking into an older gym, seeing the polished, shiny wood court, smelling the dust, and getting hit by the memories

K-State just fired Jerome Tang, claiming "for cause". The "cause" is that (by their telling) he embarrassed the university by ripping his players publicly. Two things: (1) The real cause is the team's lousy record. That's insufficient to qualify "for cause". Even ripping his players falls short. But there are 18.7 million reasons behind this. This smacks of the John Brannen firing, in which UC fought, eventually gave up, and paid him the full $5M buyout; (2) Either Tang or Tom Mars will make first contact, if one hasn't already.

If ripping his players was cause, then Bob Huggins would've been ousted several times before he threw up on the side of his car in front of a cop.

Blaming the players while losing to a poorly playing UC team as well as overall play did it. Of course, the KSU has some pride left and can't stand to see the shape of their program. Tang was honest. He said he would have also worn a bag and most of the players would not be back. He just beat them out the door. The difference was that Huggins won and the players loved him for the most part. So did many of the donors but not all. KSU was a travesty on and off the court just like UC. The difference is that they took action for the fans, the team and the school. Tang spoke his mind while CWM played the penitent martyr to the press. Both were frustrated, they just handled it differently. Both deserved to go, but UC is just prolonging due to cash considerations. I hope that no power to be see this 3 game winning against wretched teams as a harbinger of returning to the glory of the HUggs era. It is just as embarrassing as Huggs puking on cop cars and being shown on the local news. I guess some really did want him to go. I remember police reports in both Arkansas & Oklahoma published DUIs on a Mr. Edward Sutton, Lexington didn't. I guess it is the luck of the draw.Originally posted by swilsonsp4 View PostK-State just fired Jerome Tang, claiming "for cause".
