  • The home game experience

I don't know how other people feel, but I'm starting to get disenchanted with how the whole home season ticket deal is working out.

It's bad enough the OOC home court schedule is Dayton and 8 garbage buy game type of opponents. The thing now is all the really good OOC games are not included in season ticket packages, and sell at much higher per seat prices. Even when we get to Big 12 play there's only 4 or 5 games that matter (Houston, Ia St, Ok St, BYU, and Baylor). At some point why am I bothering? If two thirds of the season ticket package is junk, I'm not sure it's worth the time, the inflated cost etc, to keep going.

I'm getting to where, other than Dayton, I'm dreading the next two months of crappy home court games.

I go to the game last night, so thrilled to see the Catamounts. I get two beers, I hit the button for the tip and it's over $42 for two beers. For two beers. I'm just starting to get fed up.

As a retiree maybe I have more expendable cash and time but I disagree. I enjoy the experience even with the lower rated teams. I like to see how the players progress and what Wes is doing. Last night for instance: Our team played with much more intensity than all of last season. At least for the first half. The Catamounts were out manned but they played hard. I admit I like having a hot dog and a beer and relaxing. The high powered games are fun but emotionally draining. All in all I think the season ticket package is a relative bargain.

More intensity - could it be that instead of one dribbling and the other 4 watching, they moved. I would like to see more rebounding and running the floor in transition intensity though. I agree with bearcated that 21 a beer is too high. I hope it was full flavored premium.

It's cheaper for a domestic draft but they were pushing these "souvenir" cups at a higher price.

I actually don't mind the Catamounts. I actually think their kids played pretty well. It's just two months of this gets a bit much.

Ahh. Please tell me more. If I get Cincy light or something like that it's a cheaper option? I know they do early bird deals. We usually try to get to the games right before tip off, get our brew-skies and go form there. Appreciate any suggestions. The beer thing just kinda chafes my a$$.

I am a diehard fan & just enjoy going to the games no matter who we play. I wish we had a harder preseason schedule but it's always been like this.
I'm more upset over the beer selection. They did not have(that Icould tell) 12-16 ounce Mic Ultra's available. Only the 25 ounces. I'm hoping I can find
some vendors that sell the smaller cans. JMHO!
