Since the start of the BIG XII season, UC has raised its level of competitiveness. All of its conference losses were close losses. The last three games UC has scored over 70 points. The first two conference games, UC score an average of 60 points.

Maybe, just maybe, those butt whippings in the nonconference were not in vain. Maybe what UC learned from those losing experiences are now paying off.

The Cats' offensive efficiency rocketed up 24 places per KenPom, from 208 to 184. The median nationally is 183. So, while far from elite, at least it's average, which is a great improvement.
