Yeah, you are right. He did predict a win in a jokingly way. Cudos to him.

Since the start of the BIG XII season, UC has raised its level of competitiveness. All of its conference losses were close losses. The last three games UC has scored over 70 points. The first two conference games, UC score an average of 60 points.

Maybe, just maybe, those butt whippings in the nonconference were not in vain. Maybe what UC learned from those losing experiences is now paying off.

      Maybe.

The game was on NBCSports, not just Peacock.

Can we please stop booing Wes in the pregame? Did they show that on TV?

The win moves our offense back into the top 200, and up to #46 overall on Torvik.

We are #4 in the country in defensive rebounding, largely thanks to Baba Miller and his ridiculous 32% DReb rate, second best in the country.

The Cats' offensive efficiency rocketed up 24 places per KenPom, from 208 to 184. The median nationally is 183. So, while far from elite, at least it's average, which is a great improvement.

Overall, UC are #20 in the country, per barttorvik.com during B12 play.

There was a play that occurred late in the second half and one that occurs all too frequently in today's game. Iowa St 's Milan Momcilovic at the top of key, at the arc line, went up for a jump shot and got the foul called on Day Day. It's blatantly obvious when a shooter does this that he is intentionally trying to get the foul call. You can tell that it's intentional because his shot mechanics and follow through does not even look normal. I don't see any difference in this than when someone drives to the rim and plows into the defender who has established his footing? I believe that was DD's 4th foul but my point is that it's obvious that it's not a natural or typical looking jump shot and an attempt to get the three shot free throws. I feel better now that I've vented.

I see this team has its own personality. What I see in relation to former teams, is that they are now winning. That is an admirable trait.

I wish that was posted before the game, I couldn't find it anywhere.

I have YouTubeTV and NBCSC is part of the package. Both the Iowa St and Colorado games were televised on there. Unfortunately I didn't get to watch yesterday because I was helping a relative move. Considering the outcome maybe I'm the problem. I'll watch the replay today and enjoy it.

Peacock is a lame app, but hey, I can afford the free trial. Agree with whoever said that they would have liked to know about an alternative source earlier. Also agree with my post a few days ago that Bearcat focused info about how to solve streaming problems would be nice.

Two really positive things that jump out to me about this game. First, we scored 79 points against Iowa State - that's not easy to do. ISU is a very strong defensive team and rarely do they allow that many points. And we did it without shooting lights out. Second, we outrebounded ISU. That's also not easy to do. They are a BIG team that generally rebounds very well.

That's a classic James Hardin movie and it is cheap. I thought the refs were directed a couple of years ago to crack down on that.
