UC played very poorly against EMU, but that was just a lousy performance (with neither Baba Miller nor Jalen Celestine available), not quitting. They didn't quit at Cintas. They just couldn't figure out how to guard Tre Carroll.
The team everyone is seeing now isn't the same as it was. Celestine, who appears to be over his back issues, is in the lineup and contributing, in place of Shon Abaev. The playing time (partly because of injuries and illnesses) has been cut dramatically for some players. Three players who were seeing floor time (Jordi, Kriisa, and Dzellat) did not play today.
Over the period since 1/11/26, the Cats are rated #20 in the country per barttorvik.com. Since 2/1/26, #11. This is a quality team. Unfortunately, they jeopardized their postseason with their play during the first two months.
