It is hard to adapt when all your BB career has been one f success especially against inferior opponents. The player hears how great they are by coaches, fans , coaches who want them on their AAU teams and college recruiters. Then you have to step over the black line and play against others who were also the so called best. yes a good coach can really help, but they need time. They better hurry to as in today's game you don't get much time. Thus the change in recruiting t more seasoned in college players. Shn was good, but far from the top 5 who can step on the court and produce.Originally posted by Greg7173 View Post

I would add this coaching staff has had success with improvement of players in prior years. Josh Reed is one who stands out to me. And this year, I think the staff has done a good job with Tillery. Abaev is an example of the other side of that argument, though he has been injured and has not seen any action over the last several games. There are examples for either side, though successes are fewer than failures, IMO.Originally posted by leo from jersey View Post

I hope not. Shon has talent. Unlike Tillery, the game hasn't slowed down for him yet. With a little more experience, Shon will be a very good player, possibly the type who can carry a team. I know he must be dissappointed for the many reasons you stated above, and hope he has the maturity to stick around in Clifton. His playing time shouldn't be too much impacted by the recruitment of Kayden Allen (assuming Wes is saving his job with a late season run) because Wes likes to have multiple combo guards on the court together.Originally posted by London 'Cat View Post
Great question. There hasn’t been any updates from UC. My guess is he is done for the year and will hit the portal as soon as the season ends. No inside information though.Red and Black are more of an Attitude than merely a color combination.
Intimidate! Dominate! Celebrate!

hurt or not, uc's probably a better team with him not on the court. did CWM rush him? probably. I'm ecstatic, but really surprised, that UC beat kansas. uc has the talent, but, to put it nicely, they've had some struggles putting it all together. I don't know where the fortitude came from, but glad to see it. it seems that maybe a team leader has emerged? hope they can keep it up.Originally posted by longtimefan View PostHe’s still hurt. CWM mentioned that he’s pleased with how Shon is working his way back.

Kansas's Peterson talks about basketball.

We'll need him playing well before the season is over. Depth is so critical in the postseason, sooner or later you run into refs with quick whistles.Originally posted by D.A.H. View Post

Guess I’d have to watch again but I was under the impression (I guess misperception) that DD finally hit some shots when the game was sort of in hand ? Like the last 3 minutes or so.Originally posted by leeraymond372@gmail.com View PostSome people here have been on Thomas for missing a lot of shots. To be truthful, Thomas did miss some clean open shots in the first half. However, Thomas hit some big shots when the game was on the line late in the second half. Tillery also played some strong minutes and hit some key shots. If he can just learn how not to turn the ball over. Cudos to Thomas for stepping up and making plays when the game was on the line. That is how games are won.
This should be a proud moment for the University of Cincinnati basketball program for beating Kansas like it did in the famous Phog Allen Fieldhouse.
Of course, with the Cats issue with closing games out,
I guess making them the last 3 minutes is welcomed.

Maybe just me, but I was wanting them to run some clock the last few minutes. Maybe that’s outdated thinking ?Originally posted by swilsonsp4 View PostJalen Celestine's turnaround trey after dibbling out was stone cold. That looked like something that Pop Isaacs would've tried—except it went in.
Also, with the Cats history of not getting good shots with the shot clock running down, maybe it was best they had no conscience lol.
I thought there were several “No no no..yes yes yes moments the last few minutes tho.
