That is a fair argument. But like you mentioned, will the NCAA Tournament buy it? Also, regardless of the UC injuries, UC lost ALL four of its non-conference high-major games. UC did not run much of its offense through the big men early on. Kriisa and Abaev received many of the shot opportunities early on. It was a mistake on Miller's part not to run more of the offense through the bigs early in the season.

In my opinion, with just my eyes and without any stats to back this up, not running more of the offense through the big men early in the season may have really hurt UC's Tournament chances this year. UC's bigs truly are the strength of the team.

By the way, Baba Miller reminds me of a taller and more offensively aggressive Ben Simmons. What do you all think?

I am in agreement with you. One of the big problems with Coach Miller's UC teams is that when it shoots under 40%, it rarely wins. The old UC teams under Huggins and Cronin understood that sometimes teams have to know how to win when they have bad shooting nights. Cronin had a few UC teams that had problems scoring, but they still won plenty of games. Miller has not reached that point in his coaching development where he can win games when his teams have bad scoring nights. When Miller's UC teams shoot under 40%, they typically lose.

UC plays again on Tuesday against BYU. Let's see if UC can put together another good scoring game. BYU is going to be an angry team coming into Tuesday's game because West Virginia beat them in Morgantown yesterday.

I hope that UC understands that Robert Wright and Dybantsa are the players to slow down on Tuesday. Here is hoping for the UC win.

Day Day broke out of his slump in a big way, hitting 7 of 11 from deep. We made 14 threes overall and dominated the glass and the turnover battle. 1.27 points per possession.

Day Day was by far the best player in the game with a whopping 11.3 net points and 24.4 BPM. Point forward Baba Miller was next best with 7.2 net points. He had 8 assists and no turnovers. Our offense is much better being run through our best player. Thiam was third best, pulling down a monster 15 rebounds and converting 9 of 13 inside the arc.

Tillery was our worst player. Only 5 points on 9 shots with 3 turnovers. Harris was next worst, held scoreless with 2 fouls in 10 minutes. Celestine was third worst, scoring a middling 8 points on 8 shots but with only 1 rebound in 23 minutes.
