I just listened to it. I've been trying hard to keep from getting too excited. But after watching that?? Man, you could FEEL Terry and Corie's excitement. And it's infectious.

    I'm ready. I'm excited. I'm all in. Let's GO!!!!

The episode is out now, with the interview at the end https://gobearcats.com/news/2026/04/...d-travis-kelce

BCJ's Keegan Nickoson also tweeted out quotes from the interview, for those interested but not wanting or having the time to listen.

I finally got around to watching the podcast. The Kelce brothers are really on board with Calhoun. It was a great interview.

Their podcast is huge, they have a huge audience -- this type of stuff is wonderful/priceless PR for the program/UC athletics.

I have read a number of things concerning Calhoun and here are some of the things he said that makes me think that this guy is going to win a lot of games. 1) He mentioned that he is "constantly trying to EVOLVE and learn. That is something that Miller did NOT understand. Miller never grew enough to change his approach even when it was not working; 2) Calhoun mentioned that he wants to recruit players that fit his style. He mentions the he wants to recruit the RIGHT guys for the program; 3) Calhoun talks about teaching guys to READ the game by training their eyes; 4) He has numerous coaching influences from Huggins, Mazzula (Boston Celtics head coach), Cronin, and Jim Tressel just to name the ones that I can think of right now, and 5) Calhoun does NOT look at the Xavier game as just another game. He wants UC to take pride in winning the X game.

In closing, talk is cheap. You cannot win a game by talking. On the other hand, from what I have seen of Calhoun's coaching at Utah State and his basketball philosophies, I sincerely believe that Calhoun is going to win a lot of games at UC.

The real challenges for Calhoun might be can he bring in BIG XII caliber players to completely fill a roster (giving the constraints of NIL) and can he consistently win the BIG games on the schedule. What killed Miller was that he could not win the big games on the schedule.

Good luck to Coach Calhoun and UC basketball going forward.

As far as NIL is concerned, Chad Brendel has stated that the staff will have plenty to build a solid B12 lineup.
