Is it logical to assume the Memphis-based Liberty Bowl would be an automatic tie-in should the Tigers join the Big East?"In the morning he would read the Bible with another coach. Then, in the afternoon, he would go out and cheat kids who had probably saved up money from mowing lawns to buy those raffle tickets. That's Jim Tressel." - former colleague to Jim Tressel as quoted in Sports Illustrated.

joining the big east would stop that fade in basketball in my opinion..NBA facilities coupled with getting to play in the Big East would make them a very attractive school to recruit toOriginally posted by Lobot View PostI've seen multiple tweets suggesting that Memphis might be joining. Personally I think it's a terrible idea. Memphis has nothing to add to football and is fading fast in basketball.

I think it would help them turn that football program around as well.Originally posted by catscratchfever View Postjoining the big east would stop that fade in basketball in my opinion..NBA facilities coupled with getting to play in the Big East would make them a very attractive school to recruit to

They would add a trip to Memphis every other year. After the Liberty Bowl Game I would be on board for that. Blues, beer, ribs and football (not necessarily in that order) sounds great!Originally posted by Lobot View PostI've seen multiple tweets suggesting that Memphis might be joining. It might turn out to be every fourth year for football, given that the BE gets to 12 teams and two divisions. There's no guarantee that UC & Memphis would be in the same division. That would mean they'd play at home one year, then on the road two years after that.Originally posted by cpawstoney View PostThey would add a trip to Memphis every other year. And the answer be: Cincinnati.-Mick Cronin
