With Texas and Oklahoma announcing they were SEC bound it caused seismic shifts throughout college sports, and it will not end with just the FBS level. If any school gets promoted from FCS it will send waves through there as well. How we stand on October 22, 2021

I have been reading a lot about the restructuring of college football. Most of it does not have UC included in the grand scheme of things. I say that we should not watch any SEC games or Big 10 games nor watch any games that the broadcast companies are pushing for just a BIG and SEC league. Those cable companies live on viewership. Cut the cord.

Per Pete Thamel on Twitter MTSU is balking at the idea of joining the MAC. Now both WKU and MTSU will remain in Conference USA, but WKU still has aspirations to go to the MAC.Last edited by True Bearcat; 11-10-2021, 12:40 PM.

And the CUSA will drop to the bottom of the Group of Five. When this all settles, I think that the MAC should just play a couple of big pay day games then the rest in conference. The MAC is the only true regional conference of like minded. Yes, I know that they all suck.

According to Brett McMurphy Conference USA will survive!!! He said they will add Sam Houston State, Jacksonville State, New Mexico State, and Liberty by the end of week. Will this be enough to keep Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee or are they MAC bound?

WKU and MTSU are probably headed to the MAC. The MAC will meet soon to discuss expansion per Pete Thamel.

I've given up trying to follow this stuff -- as long as UC is in the Big 12, whatever else happens (particularly outside the "new" ACC) will take a while to get used to/keep track of over the next few years

Missouri State is looking to move up to FBS from what I've been reading. I'd assume they will be a candidate somewhere. Just what the world needs, more Bobby Petrino.
