Has UCONN put a foot forward this year in getting into a power 4 conference? They went 8-4 and beat North Carolina in the Fenway Bowl. Their football team is the only thing keeping them out of a power 4 conference. If they start to succeed I say let's go get them! Plus it would screw the Big East too!

On a side note, I saw that the ACC is 1-9 in bowls games this year. OUCH! Syracuse beating Washington State is their only victory and Wash St had their coach and dozens of kids gone for that game.

Looking like NIU might be heading to the MWC as well per Matt Brown at Extra Points. Totally a money move as the MWC TV contract is worth twice as much to the school vs. the MAC contract

In my opinion this will be the oddest of all realignments. Cal and Stanford moved because they were dead in water if they did not do something drastic. Giving up playing regional games that your fanbase can travel to, to play San Jose St, New Mexico, and UTEP is true exciting football.

I don't know if it was mentioned before but about a year ago the "Gold and Blue Dude" also died from having an infection turn septic. He was big on Big 12 realignment coverage and was a good listen on Youtube.

Dang, sad for his family. Crazy conspiracies, but he was a big Ok St fan and proponent of the Big 12. I enjoyed his feed, though most were never happening.
