Small school stuff. Looks like football schools in the ASun and what's left of the WAC are now the UAC.

Last week, someone floated the idea of the ACC trading SMU, Cal and Stanford to the Big 12 for West Virginia, UC and UCF. There is virtually no way that this happens (at least prior to the next TV contracts). https://www.heartlandcollegesports.c...A1VwVG9e-WHbfA

I don't know if I would want it. In the short run, it would be cool but who knows if FSU, Clemson, Miami (FL), or UNC will still be there once the new TV contracts expire.

If Cody Campbell gets his way, the big four conferences could negotiate tv deals as one entity and share revenue across all four conferences. The article predicts the cumulative tv revenue of $3 billion could double if they were to negotiate as one entity, and increasing the current revenue of the SEC and Big 10 is the only way they would ever agree to any form of revenue sharing. The sum is greater than the parts. We need each other, and making a bowl game is an aniquated way of measuring success.

^^^That was a long read but a good one. Most people that I know have no idea what is going on in college sports.

Ohio flirting with the Sun Belt? According to this article yes. It would put them in a better conference with longtime rival Marshall.

I'll go record again saying that Memphis will not move up uin conference affiliation until they own their own facilities. Maybe Fred Smith left something in his will.

I'll one further and say that once USF is done with their stadium, they'll move up first.

I do not expect any movement within the Power 4 until the first TV contract expires. However, it appears that some think that the Big 12 is eyeing more schools. https://v2.fanrecap.com/cincinnati-b...pansion--5aec1
