The point trying to be made is that there is a clear pattern that the BIG 10 refs "know" when to make calls to break a team's Mo..

I cited the call from the game 15 years ago.

Others have cited the blown call against Illinois last year.

The two bad calls Saturday clearly broke UC's Mo. Would we have won had the calls gone our way? Probably not, but we may have made the final score a lot closer.

I still contend that we should NOT play at O$U unless we have neutral refs, as there is no way we will win using BIG 10 refs. Do you think O$U would come to Cincinnati, and play at Nippert or PBS, with a full crew of AAC refs?

Canceling a game? Seriously? That's a rather knee jerk reaction for sure and likens a bit to the "big brother/little brother" syndrome. How many games have you seen perfectly or even well called?

And I agree with posters above that while it might have killed the momentum is certainly wasn't the reason why we could not tackle nor stop the run.

Pull up them pants gents; if you want to play big boy football you have to take your lumps as well. If we have just a smidge of defense we would be seeing a much closer game. We were simply beyond out matched on the D side of the ball.

The 'O' side...man that was exciting seeing that O play.

Exactly, the failure to completely block a defensive end and get your qb blown up for a safety, and then the ridiculous punt was the turning point in that game. You can't fall behind and play trade points like that. It was a totally unforced air. You can't have that particularly with the defense in it's current state. That was a 9 point swing or more.
