Here is a prediction. I wonder how close they will come to the actual polls. AP Top 25 Poll, Rankings Prediction: Week 5 (collegefootballnews.com)
Here is ESPN's take on the CFP. UC is in at number 4 in about half of the selections. College Football Playoff picks after Week 5 (espn.com)Last edited by bearcatbret; 10-03-2021, 12:57 PM.

I wonder if those "experts" that said the Big 12 made a mistake with their new additions are second guessing themselves with BYU at 10 and UC at 6. I believe that both of those teams could beat Oklahoma this year. If we miss the CFP, I would like to see UC play either Texas or Oklahoma in a News Year Day bowl.

Up to #5 in AP, just behind IA & PSU. OK #6; OH St #7. The Hawkeyes and Lions play each other this week.Last edited by swilsonsp4; 10-03-2021, 02:26 PM.

Here are 3 articles from theathletic.com ($) that mention UC as being worthy of CFP talk. In the first piece, Seth Mandel has the Cats as #4, playing the Crimson Tide in the Cotton Bowl. He also has BYU grabbing an at-large bid to play the Sooners in the Fiesta Bowl.
The second piece from Max Olson gives kudos to UC, but it also has a funny section on the outcome of the Vandy-UConn game.

We need to keep an eye on BYU. The Cougars are unbeaten, including three wins over PAC-12 teams. They have other P5 games upcoming that could allow BYU to vault over UC, if they win out (Baylor, VA, Wazzou and USC), not to mention Boise State this weekend. That might be a tall order for the Cougars, but they're #10 right now, so they have a shot, even if the Cats win out. The AAC has been a disappointment thus far in 2021.
