We all know money does all the talking. So you know the nod is going to one of the two schools that are about to become a part of the rich elite conference.

Any updates on Bryan Cook after he left the game with an undisclosed injury?

Are they folding under the pressure. How could Luke get them so high fr ND and so damn low for Navy and Tulane. Michigan lost so they won't jump UC, but a big win by tOSU might. On the other side who would have thought we would be upset by a 19 point win.

Came back in the game about a quarter later.

That was a bit of a struggle until late. We're getting gashed on run defense because teams won't throw at us. They've got to solve the problem of the late up the middle blitzer on Des. He doesn't see them and no one's picking up the blittzer. Ford was out of position on one today and never got near the guy.

if we keep playing like this on both O and D, SMU is going to be a problem.

Defense shut them down totally in second half after being unusually porous with bad tackling. I agree that Ridder has to run more effectively. He is spending too much time looking for receivers. If he sees green, run as hard as he can. Not many style points but a "W" is a "W". We need to get our offense back.

It seemed like half the game was TV commercials!

A radio analysts on EPSN said that the "committee" would overlook the Navy close game, but not this one (two bad games in a row), and that UC will not be in the top CFP4, Tuesday.

CLF said in a pregame interview that history and analytics / data suggests that teams playing their next game after having played Navy's vaunted triple option typically experience fatigue, letdown, and loss of next game. Said he was worried more about this game than the Navy game. As the team rose to the occasion, shutting Tulane completely down in their own house in the second half is very impressive. Hopefully the selection committee will see the same. As one of the broadcasters said if the committed takes Uc's last four years into consideration, we should be good to go.

So, maybe load the box and dare them to throw against our secondary.

An interview with Luke earlier in the week, he said that they are not running Des because they want to protect him and do not want him to take extra hits. I suspect that the whole offense has been playing vanilla to keep the better teams from seeing too much. I personally think that it is kind of late in the season to be holding back.

Sure hope you are right. We need to be firing on all cylinders now! Four good strong quarters in all of the games. There is far too much at stake to be cute.
