Oh, Coastal is currently projected as the Group of 5 representative in the New Year game. Bowl projections: Clemson jumps into College Football Playoff as Kansas State upsets Oklahoma (cbssports.com)

I don't understand some of the placements toward the bottom of the poll . K State has a win over Oklahoma but a home loss against Tulane and they jumped us. We have an away loss to a team ranked 21. Kansas is 4-0 and out of the poll.

I really thought we would sneak into the bottom of the rankings this week but they are really trying to hold us out this year. Maybe some bad blood from making the playoff last year. I think all of us agree this is a Top 25 team. IBy the end of the season we will be in the top 15-20 as some of these undefeated teams start to lose. UK at #7 is ridiculous... we are better than them. They struggled with a 1-3 MAC team this week and only have a win against a highly overrated Florida team that almost lost to terrible USF.

Interesting that UC is 1 point behind #25 Arkansas in the Coaches poll. I am not sure how any coach can legitimately vote for schools so soon after their own game since they probably spent half the night and morning reviewing their own game tapes.

I wondered if we might fall out again after a sub-par performance yesterday. I found my self looking at scores yesterday to see if others in the bottom portion of the polls were losing. I am surprised we rose three spots.

Since there is no chance of a win for the Cats this Saturday, I am anticipating a drop in next week's polls. It seems logical.

I obviously want the Cats to get that bowl bid, but I honestly would not have been bothered for one of the schools like Coastal to get the bid as I remember how much it meant to us to claw our way into it. Now Tulane or UCF or some such...that is a different story!

I actually would like to play Coastal Carolina. I realize some will see it as a nothing to gain game, but I always find these types interesting. Given we've landed in the big 12, not sure at this point it matters.
