  • Miami 9/17 12:00 ESPNU

The 126th Battle for the Bell is upon us from Paycor(?) Stadium. Between the location and game time, tailgating might be a challenge here. I snuck a peak at ESPN Gamecast and they're giving Miami a whopping 5.8% chance to win.

Miami hung in with UK for a quarter 2 weeks ago but lost pretty decisively. Yesterday's win was over Robert Morris was about the way you should win against a bad FCS opponent. Starting QB Brett Gabbert is out for a while after an injury in week 1. Aveon Bell started and played almost the entire game against RMU and threw for 155 yards, 3TDs and1 INT. Previous to that game he threw 1 pass back in 2020. They have a decent TE in Muersch and a good WR in Hippenhammer but nothing jumps off the page about the Redhawks to be honest. Chuck Martin is setting himself up to go 6-6 again from the look of it. The leaders of this team from last season have graduated, transferred or gotten hurt.

Unbelievable, I guess you’re supposed to park in Kentucky and walk across the bridge. Leave an hour early. Hope the sponsors of the damn race know how upset UC fans are.

We went to the Boathouse Wednesday night from the west side of Cincinnati. We cut through downtown like we normally do but this time, we had to take a detour because they had blocks closed off at that time as well. That was on Wednesday.

Well, I prepaid to park in lot A. I hope my access to that lot is not closed off. Otherwise, I won’t be happy.
