A second reason why Satterfield left. U ofL would not give him an extension this year apparently

Mo Egger on Twitter: Everyone was obsessing over flight tracker when all along UC hired a coach who simply had to drive up I-71.

He also went 8-5 in year one on the heels of a 2-10 season from Petrino/interim coachOriginally posted by bearcated View PostSolid hire. A lot of experience. U of L record is so so, but I don;t think you should count the Covid marred years against him.

If horrible = not flashy then you're correct.Originally posted by Chewbacca2099 View PostHorrible hire
He took App State into FBS from FCS successfully and had mostly rebuilt UofL from the Bobby Petrino second shift. The boosters at UofL wanted Jeff Brohm over him and tried to run Satterfield out of town earlier this year. So if you were wondering why he's leaving one P5 for another, that's why.
The guy can recruit a bit . U of L has the 19th ranked recruiting class coming into this.

A great history of success wherever he coached, including putting Appalachia State on the notoriety football map. I like GoBearcats31 checklist. The question is why is he willing to make this apparent lateral move?

Lot better than Carry Comb, JG and other C USA coaches. I like it.

It will cost Cincinnati $3.5 million to buy out Satterfield from Louisville, according to Satterfield's contract with the Cardinals. Fickell's buyout when he left Cincinnati for Wisconsin was $3.5 million.

The hiring of Satterfield is a statement for Cincinnati as it enters the Big 12 next year...
Satterfield drew the interest of the Cincinnati with the job he did building Louisville back up in the wake of the 2-10 season when Bobby Petrino was fired. Satterfield led Louisville to three bowls in the past four seasons and emerged as one of the country's hot young coaches while at Appalachian State.

Let's wait it out a bit and see. He had success under very bad conditions within the worst athletic department at any level. He can recruit. He can maximize NIL. He is an offensive minded coach which is what we need in Big 12. We aren't exactly a depleted roster, and our facilities are top notch. I think the on campus stadium will still give us great advantage.Originally posted by Chewbacca2099 View PostHorrible hire
