Now we are turning into a sport pariah, just like the 1980's. How quickly our fortunes have changed. Not happy.

So what are your priorities to turn it around with the fact Satterfield is returning?
Red and Black are more of an Attitude than merely a color combination.

DB's, DB's, and more DB'S. Also, QB, LB, OL, DL, WR.

          1. Recruit more local players
          2. Get an "all-star" QB (not sure it is possible) from the portal, along with two great CB's
          3. Convince several of the star seniors to stay another year
          4. Have somebody other than CSS call the offensive plays

Have you seen all the top majors needing qbs? It will be heavy competing with ND, Washington, Oregon, USC, NC, KY and Wisconsin among many others.

Replace K. Combs & make him the recruiting coordinator. This was the worse secondary defense I've seen my 25 years of attending UC games at Nippert!

From Bearcat journal - Grade for CSS
                    Regular Season Grade: D

It was a pretty disastrous season for Satterfield's Bearcats. The former Louisville coach already had big shoes to fill replacing Luke Fickell but failed to inspire even a shred of confidence as he led Cincinnati to a 3-9 record, its worst finish since 1999. Many of the same issues Satterfield had at Louisville haunted him during his first season at his new post. Cincinnati gave up explosive plays on defense, blew late leads and could never find balance on offense.

                    not much to brag on

                      I think that's a pretty fair assessment.

Why? He is no longer a guy in the know onnthe local recruiting scene.

Is a 3-9 record cause for dismissal? Just asking. I still believe that beating Miami should be in every coaching contract.

3-9 in year 3 is cause for dismissal, not in year 1. There's no way we put a zero tolerance clause on beating Miami. Yeah, we had won 16 in a row, but no win is ever certain in a series where we hover at 50% wins. The programs have gone in different directions the last decade, but they are still a bowl division team going bowling this year. Your expectation is unrealistic.
