Gotta say I did not see a shutout coming.

This was probably the ‘Cats most complete performance under Satterfield. The offense looked tight and the defense dominated. Even special teams played to it’s potential.

        Not just today though.

I agree. Only one blown pass coverage. Did we dominate because Houston is behind us in rebuilding or we are really getting better?? I honestly don't know. I guess the next couple of games will give us a more clear picture.

That is an excellent question. Who is Houston, really? Are they the team that nearly took out Oklahoma in Oklahoma (holding them to 16 points), or was that a nearly laid egg by the Sooners? Regardless, I agree with Rufus above in not seeing a shutout, at all.

Where was this team in the last 20 minutes against Pit? Play anything like this and we are 4-0 instead of 3-1, and would need only 2 wins in our ;last 8 games to be bowl eligible.

I didn't see it simply becuase the defense has not shown the potential to do that up to this point.

Houston is bad. I think Pitt is the better team. The Sooners laid an egg but I'm sure that one was circled for Houston and maybe today was a let down for UH. I said this in the State of the fottbal program thread but UC is hard to guage right now. We've beaten an FCS, a MAC and a bad P4. I wanto give the players credit for doing that but we don't know what these guys are until the schedule gets harder. PItt serves as a good lesson that you have to play 4 quarters and hopefully they've learned that.

Lots of positives in today's game.

Sorsby is that guy. The guys on the broadcast today said he doesn't even know the full offense yet. I'd like for the offense to give him a third reliable target beyond Henderson and Royer. Hopefully someone will breakout. Run game was great. Mix in more Pryor on outside runs or swing passes maybe?

I believe too Sorsby could be the real deal. And in lieu of Wrs to target I would like to see Royer get more reps. I think Kiner getting tosses out in the flat would work in our favor too. I dont think I've seen that play since CSS was hired here.

That was a question I had about the RB room. Can any of these guys catch in the flat or deeper? I'm a huge fan of the wheel route.

Sorsby looked relaxed today. He waited for things to develop in from of him and didn't stare down option #1. In fact, several times he seemed to specifically not be looking at his first receiver at all until ready to throw. I know that might seem like that means the receiver was actually the 2nd or 3rd choice, but given how a few of those plays developed,I don't think so. I think he was asking his intent.

I was at the game and we stayed for the entire game. When we got home, I had to take a nap because I was just totally exhausted. My wife is sun burned. However, I agree with an earlier post, this may have been the best full game under Satt.

This was the first game I noticed Sorsby progressing through the reads and finding the open receivers. I think he could be a solid QB for UC. I know Houston is not a good team but I felt he looked more poised and in control of the offense today. I also noticed the defense is starting to cause turnovers by the opposing offenses, not just today but for the last three weeks. I feel the team is progressing but there are many games remaining. Hopefully the team continues to improve.

All the improvements from last year are because of QB. We have a good kicker also. He will win us some close games. Still not convinced about this 3 down linemen defence.
