The UC interception was a complete freak play. The DB pushed the WV player, and while his arms were extended, the ball lands right between his arms. We should have won the game today. Just like we should have beat Pitt and Texas Tech.

The ‘Cats are like a team in my fantasy league named the Unlucky Bastards. They could be undefeated or have lost only at TT. But the ball has not bounced their way this year. The Unlucky Bearcats.

This! UC absolutely beat itself today. Can't turn the ball over three times even if they give you one back.

It’s not only the turnovers, it was the turnovers that led directly to points. And the third turnover gave WVU a short field. UC was clearly the better team today, out gaining WVU by over 200 yards. But when you allow the opposing defense to score 14 points, you can’t win.

Those receivers were covered but the D had no clue where the ball was. Coaching sucks, today QB play sucked. We did not have any break away runs nor did we have any deep passes.
I had exactly the same thoughts on the defensive backfield. Terrible coaching. They need to be coached how/when to turn around, locate the ball and keep it from being caught. Kerry Coombs needs to retire.

Rough day to be Bearcat Football fan. Sorsby had a bad day & that happens. I still have faith in him & he will redeem himself. Let's go & beat Iowa State & get bowl eligible.

Looking back, the decision to go for it on 4th down at the 20 was the turning point in the game. That shifted all momentum in WVU’s favor and the ‘Cats could not recover. I don’t know what CSS was thinking in that instance. The the 3 points and let your defense preserve lead. Stupid decision, IMO.

On a side note, I have no idea how so many WVU fans got into my season ticket area. However, I sat next to a man and his wife who were probably in their upper 40's or young 50's. Very polite and I told them that my experience from the old Big East days was that WVU fans were normally polite people. Then as we were leaving, some young punks wearing WVU gear tried to start a fight with some college students welling some real nasty things.

A lot of / most WVU fans are ok, but they do seem to have a higher percentage of assholes than most other schools

two things - i have about as much confidence in our kickers, as i do in the random student who wins money, if he can kick a 20 yarder. two, Satt needs to give up playcalling - its just way too cute and predictable.

but, agree, the pick 6 turned the game. bad call on the rollout. really decision to force the ball.

UC's current team has 75% senior starters. Many of the underclassmen will hit the portal, and then UC will have a very tough year in 2025. Not trying to be overly negative here, but yesterday proved to me that the current direction of the program is not good. Glad I was there to experience to fun and excitement of the 2021 season.

A win against Iowa St or Kansas St would change my attitude, but now I am suspecting we will finish 5-7, with no better expectations for 2025.

Yeah. I do not ever remember watching a football game where one guy single-handedly lost the game. Nevertheless, I really like Sorsby. However, it appears that sometimes it gets too lackadaisical back there. If you compare him to what Michigan now has at QB, Michigan would be a top 12 to 15 team (perhaps) if it had Sorsby. So, UC should fight hard to keep him. His game will grow and progress as he gets more live game snaps. About time Sorsby becomes a senior, he should be one of the better QBs in the country.

My son was with me yesterday, and when he saw them come out and get set to go for it on that critical 4th down he actually came out of his seat and was yelling "No No - kick the field goa!" so loud that the people around us were looking at him. Whole game turned on that decision (of course coach couldn't know Sorsby was going to throw a pick six - BUT - why not go up 2 scores at that time?)

Wasn't just that, Sorsby and the offense were running around like chickens without a head trying to get that play set. Satterfield should have at least called timeout and let them get settled.
