Look for more of that this portal season…hint Hamilton Badin.

Additionally, the staff did recruit several local kids from HS, even got some commitments - but the $ of bugger schools was too much to overcome. Tuberville didn’t even recruit local at all.

You can be frustrated with Satt’s on field success. But to say that is isn’t recruiting local guys is simply inaccurate.
He has never payed a visit to Colerain High School, where we have a young QB who has been contacted by O$U. Next year's cupboard will be bare, and CSS will be on his way to being the DC or OC at some mediocre school the following year. I hope I am wrong, but after following UC FB for 50 years, I get "feelings" on where we are headed, and currently, my feelings are not good.

Wait until next year, after a 3-9 season, how this discussion will be, and how hard it will be to recruit top notch players to UC.

JC should take the bitter pill now, and might as well start the road to recovery, as the longer he waits, the harder it will be.

You would certainly think that schools' attorneys could create some sort of binding contracts to keep players from jumping around willy nilly. This is like completely unfettered free agency. Professional sports leagues (and the players unions) figured out that a league/business could not survive under that scenario. The NCAA is a dead dog so don't expect any leadership from them. Right now its the wild, wild west.

I want an overpowering LT with a couple nasty guards that can pass block and drive them back on a run. Give the skill players enough time, actually just an extra half-second, then boom Evan Pryor to the house or Sorsby making a long connection.

Same on D. Give me two more Jowan Briggs type guys coming in hungry

Looks like you are not able to sign with a school out of the portal and then flip to another school like we had one guy do last year. Contract is a contract.

Hopefully, he can get some local Ohio kids from the portal. Jayden Ballard, a former top 100 WR recruit from Massillon, just went in the portal. Yes Massillon is on the other side of the state, but WR help is needed.

I saw that. There's quite of few high star ranking guys out there that have jumped ship not just from tOSU but other P4 programs. LOTS of WRs .

Yes but he couldn't have mediated without Ellison's money doing the negotiation.
