After the last few games, not sure that is good news. Bring me back the Brendan we saw in the first five games.

I think that's the plan. I liked what I saw in the last game toward the end. The kid has a winning attitude and is pretty tough.

If Sorsby has WRs who can separate and sufficient protection from the O-line, he can be an effective QB. He proved that early in the season. OL play regressed and the WRs could rarely get open, causing Sorsby to struggle.

You know, part way through the season, many of us were afraid Sorsby would get bought out somewhere else. I don't know what happened as the season went on, but honestly, it doesn't feel like it was something he screwed up. The play calling became so predictable and run heavy, he didn't have a chance to get in the flow. I will say this. At least as much as any player on UC during our final game, he played his butt off. I don't mean that he lit up the stats, but that guy gave everything he had on every play. He never gave up. Freezing cold. Snow. Getting punked at home. Didn't matter. He played hard every down. I will HAPPILY welcome him back.

Hopefully we can go get some guys. I've seen multiple high talent WRs go into the portal today from other programs. We need to go get a WR1 for sure.

Agree 100%. In fact, you could say that for the last 4-5 games. He never gave up and was often the reason UC was within reach over those games. Get him some help.

He has all of the tools and a great attitude. IMHO his biggest need is a better quarterback coach. Better play calling from the bench would also help.

Most players won't necessarily declare they're coming back. I'm sure we will see notices of players declaring for the NFL draft (Dontay/Kiner) and when they enter the Portal, but I wouldn't expect too many declarations of I'm staying. Hope I'm wrong and we see many of the young guys and key contributors publicly commit to the program. It would be a bolster for Satt as well.

P.S. the portal opens Monday Dec 9th and closes Dec 28th

Support for CSS will be key to the transfer portal. Since he will be UC’s coach next year, UC needs the players’ support behind him. Otherwise, it will be difficult for the staff to recruit anyone.

I agree wholeheartedly, but will the players give that support? Either by staying or publicly committing to Satt. I think several players will stay who don't have options.

I expect Samaj to hit the portal, which would be the 3rd four star QB to disappear from UC’s roster under Scott. Kind of crazy. Whether Sorsby improves to become consistent enough to perform well across a full season remains to be seen, but I’d still be recruiting the position for 2025.

That would be a shame. I think Samaj would be #2 next season and Brady L #3. At some point kids have to accept that they may not start in year 1 or 2, and for Samaj he is one injury away from being starter.

Lichtenburg looked lost when he played this season. If Samaj doesn’t pass Lichtenburg on the depth chart, then he isn’t the answer either.
