Why can't we? Just look at what Dillingham is doing at Arizona State. Not saying hiring a good young coach is easy, but it can be done.

I think this job would be attractive to an up and coming coach from maybe a smaller conference. We have had success with that formula before. There is so much parity in the Big 12 that it wouldn't take you long to rebuild and get into CFP. Obviously, if you were coming into the SEC or B1G it would be harder to rebuild and get to the top. Who knows? You might even be able to lure a Urban Meyer out of retirement. He would have an easy path into the CFP.

I feel the exact same way. It starts with coaching. I have zero confidence in Satterfield and didn't the day they announced his hiring. He will turn out as bad as Tuberville. Hopefully we can get someone when he is fired because being in the Big 12 the job is a little more desirable then it was in the past.

However, with the football team, I'm struggling to find that same sense of hope. I'm not trying to tear down the team, but perhaps there are things I'm missing that others are seeing. As a big supporter of our players being student-athletes, I’m hopeful they’re excelling in the classroom, though I’m not sure about that.

Does anyone have any optimism or positive insights for me and others who may feel the same way?
