Thanks to everyone for keeping up with Media Days. I've been on social tracking it but haven't had time to post much this week. I would have loved to go out to the Star in Frisco which is about a 20 minute drive for me and hang out but been too busyBrent Wyrick

If Dontay is back to his form as a true disruptor that takes two men to block hi, then the rest of the defense will be 3 times better. Royer choosing to forego a 3/4th round draft grade tells me he has a ton of confidence the O-line will protect Soresby, which will make the offense much more potent. Brendon makes good reads and quick decisions. There will be plenty of targets and Royer cannot be stopped by most LBs, so if he is double-teamed someone else will be open. I believe the O-line is much improved, even with the graduation/NFL losses/ Bottom line, these guys look like they are genuinely having fun under Satterfield, and I pray it translates to wins because they are literally playing for Satt's job. His seat is warm before the first snap, which he has earned. This year has to be better for the players and the fans.Originally posted by GoBearcats31 View PostFrom Big 12 Media

You think I know? I'm not sure anyone knowsOriginally posted by bearcatbret View PostBelow is a link to the NCAA APR. However, some of us on this forum complained over a decade ago that schools would be penalized if one of their players transferred and then did not graduate from their new school. The original school would be dinged because of that. That was back when a player had to sit out a season if they transferred, it was more difficult back then. Now that a player can compete for seven years with 5 different schools, how is this even tracked back to the first or even second college? I leave this to the all-knowing, great wizard known as Lobot. Huggins was always getting bashed because of his APR because so many of those players left the program and never graduated.

I agree. They're usually a couple years behind the current date as athletes go through the college system and graduate (or not) but at this point does the legacy APR stat even matter?Originally posted by bearcatbret View Post

IA State have found themselves in a financial bind. The new world of NCAA financing has hit them hard. They can't be the only ones. There must be dozens of FBS schools facing the same issues.

I can't say that I am surprised. I suspect that most colleges that are not in the SEC or B1G are going to have challenges. I think that BYU is going to really grow in strength because of the new rules and their national reach.Originally posted by swilsonsp4 View PostIA State have found themselves in a financial bind.
