    6. Cincinnati Bearcats

Yes, the Cincinnati Bearcats lost, but with everyone having only one game under their belt, I give credit to a team who played a Power 4 opponent over those who are blowing out FCS teams. Cincinnati’s defense was pretty darn good against Nebraska in a game that was technically a home game, but felt like a road game at Arrowhead Stadium. Evan Pryor, the Ohio State transfer, has real potential to be a star at running back, too. There’s reason to believe better times are ahead at Cincinnati.

tOSU had a blowout. Arizona State started off slow but made a game of it before losing. However, there were several close games involving ranked teams vs. cupcakes. South Florida is looking good right now. Scores for the day: College Football Scores - 2025 Season - ESPN

one more wvu note ( ican't resist) - on a wvu podcast (listening while i do some paperwork) - the 'neers lost a road game to a P4 team yesterday, Ohio U. is just that good of a program. in related news, i just saw a pig fly past my window.

The crowd at Peden Stadium was nearly split evenly between Mountaineers and Bobcats fans. There were reports that the WV chants were so loud that they could be heard across the nearby Hocking River. But, I'm sure that 'Neers fans had a pleasant 2.5-hour drive back to Morgantown—if they cleared Customs when crossing the US-WV border at the Ohio River.

Here's your scoreboard for the weekend. Conference play starts up.

Ranked Texas Tech at Utah to start your morning on FOX.

SMU at TCU should be good even though it's non conference. This is the last Battle for the Iron Skillet game for the foreseeable future.

BYU vs. jet lag as they play ECU in Greenville.

You can scout Kansas as they take on WVU at 6:00 on FS1

I don't know if Okie State will rally to take down the Golden Hurricane, but they're down,19-3, late in the 4th. Tulsa are a bad team - the Cowboys are worse.

They did not. Tulsa has won this game in Stillwater for the first time since 1951.

Utah and Texas Tech as a battle until the 4th quarter. Utah's defense just wore down with TT's quick offense not allowing substitutions. Utah's QB did not impress me always throwing off balanced and wobbly passes. TT;s backup QB had some really nice throws and they were tight. Texas Tech 34-10 Utah (Sep 20, 2025) Box Score - ESPN

I saw almost the whole game. the defenses on both teams are good. TTU wasn't decent on offense until the backup QB came in and until Utah wore out in the 4th. Final score is not indicative of how close that games was. I think there were 8 turnovers in the game.

Currently watching UCF vs UNC and I can't tell whether UCF is decent or or UNC stinks likes they did against TCU. The Scott Frost offense is definitely back. Our old friend Myles Montgomery is team captain UCF 13-0 toward the end of the 1st half .
