  • My observations of the Texas Tech vs K-State game are: K-State is making way too many mistakes to beat a good team. It seams that their turnovers are killing them as they are handing off to TT more than their own team. K-State QB (goldie locks Johnson) seems to be the best runner for K-State. Which means if UC faces T-Tech in the championship game, Sorsby may have a day rushing. A few too many dropped passes for K-State.

    • Scoreboard for this idle week although I'm a day late here. Houston might be for real. They're 8-2 after beating UCF in Orlando.

      • Still plenty of time left (at the 9:50 mark in the 3rd quarter). Texas Tech is moving the ball and up 13-0 over BYU.

Update: with 10:44 left in the game, 26-0. BYU is having a UC type of game today.

        • I watched the entire BYU - Texas Tech game and thought that the officiating was decent.
I have watched most of the Iowa State - TCU game and I believe that Iowa State is totally being hosed by the officiating. Terrible calls and not calls. The officials gave TCU their second TD by throwing two huge flags against ISU.

              • CFP chair Mack Rhoades on leave from Baylor, playoff roles

                https://www.espn.com/college-footbal...aced-cfp-chair

Baylor athletic director and College Football Playoff chairman Mack Rhoades is stepping away from both roles for personal reasons.

CFP executive director Rich Clark told ESPN on Thursday that Rhoades "will step down from his role with the committee at this time for personal reasons." The CFP likely will try to replace Rhoades and will work on naming a new chair.

Rhoades told ESPN that he initiated the leave from his Baylor role but declined to explain why.
                ...

Baylor had previously confirmed multiple reports of an internal investigation into a confrontation Rhoades allegedly had with tight end Michael Trigg about the color of the shirt he was wearing during the Bears' Sept. 20 game against Arizona State. The school had issued a release saying the incident was "thoroughly reviewed and investigated in accordance with University policies, appropriate actions were taken and the matter is now closed."

The only thing I can think of here is that he was wearing gold shirt under his uniform and that's also a color of ASU. Weird hill to die on for Rhoades
