However, Stanford should no longer be considered a power conference school. They have basically abandoned their athletics (except for the Olympic sports). This is in gest to those in this crowd that complain that we are not getting players from the top programs.Originally posted by GoBearcats31 View Post

Samaj isn't going to attract many wide receivers, but given time to prepare for 2026, he is as good as anyone we can afford to sign. Unless we quickly get a QB who thinks WRs will come here to play with him.Originally posted by Lobot View PostWe're stuck in the cycle of the receivers left because the QB left and now we can't get receivers because we don't know who the QB is and the QBs won't pick us because we have no receivers left.

The 2024 injury (ACL) may have affected his 2025 season, leading to just the nine rushes. In the year prior (sophomore), he carried just 45 times. He does have two years left.
Per bearcatjournal.com, the staff will add another RB, with Cole Tabb, formerly at Stanford, the target. Tabb was a 4* recruit from FL. He red-shirted in 2024 (3 appearances), then played in 11 games this past season (114 carries, 445 yards, 3 TDs) in a crowded backfield.

The classic "former 4 star recruit" (translation, hasn't lived up to his rating). Had 9 carries for 53 yards this year and seemed to play on special teams (kick return unit) throughout the season.
Missed 2024 with an injury. Thinking he may have two years of eligibility.

Man, did Sorsby do UC wrong. I can't blame him if the rumors are true - $5M to transfer to TT. But, he really left UC in a bad spot and caused WRs to bail. UC's QB performance in the Liberty Bowl did not help either. I think next year will be a very long season for UC.Originally posted by Lobot View PostWe're stuck in the cycle of the receivers left because the QB left and now we can't get receivers because we don't who the QB is and the QBs won't pick us because we have no receivers left.

one thing that I will say as a positive about this FB staff - they do seem to find some good guys, under the radar. with uc's budget issues, that's going to be necessary going forward.Originally posted by GoBearcats31 View PostUC received a commitment from Notre Dame running back Gi'Bran Payne, a former La Salle stand out locally.

c j Hicks for oneOriginally posted by red_n_black_attack View PostTossing a random name out there: Brody Foley, TE Tulsa. He played at Anderson HS and is a top 3 TE available.
I know being in the Big 12 we should recruit nationally, but a handful of local heroes would be nice. There are several others from the Cincinnati area who could come home, including a few transferring from Oh St.
just saw he followed Hartline.Last edited by leo from jersey; 01-05-2026, 04:07 PM.
