In a significant setback for NC State's football program, sophomore wide receiver Teddy Hoffmann is set to miss the entire 2026 season due to a one-year suspension for violating NCAA rules. The suspension follows a positive test for a performance-enhancing substance, which under NCAA regulations, results in an automatic year-long suspension and the loss of a full season of competition.

Head coach Dave Doeren addressed the situation, emphasizing the importance of vigilance when it comes to supplements and medications. "Teddy made a mistake that he's taken responsibility for in front of his teammates and coaches," Doeren stated.

i'd assume that that also means he doesn't get paid any NIL $$ - I smell another lawsuit

I would hope any NIL agreement has language about NCAA suspensions/illegal acts that serve as a disqualifying event from receiving NIL payments.
