I love hearing this and I hope it's true, but him saying "I'm staying at Cincinnati" doesn't really amount to a hill of beans.

Harbaugh just re-signed a contract with Stanford but there's a chance he could be going to Notre Dame. Kelly saying this could just be his way of killing all the speculation so the team can focus on Pitt.

This actually makes me more worried about the Pitt game if he needs to go to this level to keep his team focused. This could mean that they are being distracted by all this...

Yes, I saw it on ESPN. He said that he is staying at UC and is very happy in Cincinnati. So his family is. However, it would be better if he says "I am not going to take the ND job offer if offered." or something like that.

Just saw on sports center BK is staying. See other thread to discuss this new development. ESPN.com isnt updated yet. But my eyes and ears dont lie.

Maybe ESPN does not like BK's answer. So they would need to delay for a bit more time before the ESPN website gets updated? I know ESPN wants to see BK get the ND job so badly so that ESPN will not have to carry more of future UC football games on TV. It's time for ESPN to accept the reality.

That'd be great, but maybe ND isn't currently being offered, but he would take it, if it was. Hopefully UC can afford a good pay raise for him & assistants.

That is asking a lot. I am happy he said something but I feel it has more to do with ND not asking him. I really think they want a defensive guy

Just a few seconds ago I saw on ESPN and he said that he is staying at Cincinnati and why should he go? His family loves Cincinnati. Please check out the ESPN channel. It may re-run within about 30 minutes.

I don't understand why he would say this yesterday morning but not proclaim it at yesterday's press conference. Why would he say he will not address this team about this, as stated at the press conference? I would think if he knows he's staying, he would squash all the rumors and remove any distractions, whether he thinks they're there or not. I'll be glad come Monday, when we're outright BE champs and know a whole lot more.

If we march into New Oreleans with a new coach I can't think of anything positive about that....

West Virginia beat Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl with Bill Stewart. Wouldn't be ideal but not impossible. It would take away any pressure as we would not be given a chance.

Good question. I think major media like ESPN probably did not like BK's answer and wanted to delay for a while to repeat the same question until BK gets boiled up answering "I will leave UC for ND" or something like that. It appears nothing got changed since yesterday. So, it finally got released this morning. I know major media wanted to see BK get the ND job IMO.
