It was Washignton. UT did not offer but it has sounded like BK was gone if they did. It looked like they were going to and then they pulled in Kiffin for one more interview and bringing his dad to UT on the staff sealed the deal.

At the very end of the conversation, Dan asked if BK would know about his future by next Saturday. BK said that yes, we would know by then. Dan jokingly asked if BK would call him first with the news. BK then said something kind of telling...he said that if Dan was going to be at a local establishment in Mason, then he would be one of the first to know BK's future. I thought to myself, why would BK announce that he was leaving for ND at a public gathering? It's kind of like having a party with friends and announcing your divorce. I think BK announces that he's staying.

I'd say that it's probably the person's initials that did this. As soon as we find out who "MC" is, maybe we'll know the answer to who makes the crop circles - that writing is more precise and neater than I can do by hand.

1.) Did it snow in Cincy recently?
2.) How could it be neatly printed on the snow without any footprints or whatever needed to get through the field? It amazes me (hoping it was not a doctored photo).

                Hope BK saw the message.
I just went out to the field to take a look. The snow is melted, but you can still see the letters in the turf. Absolutely legit. I would love to shake the hand of the guy/gal who did this.

I don't think he was necesarily talking about a party out but I do think that he will sign/announce his contract extension Thurs afternoon or at the banquet that night. Just my gut feeling.

I think that it was more a reference to an earlier part of the interview when Kelly said that they practiced in an indoor facility in Mason, Ohio last week and Patrick spoke up and said "you mentioned my home town". I think it was just Kelly throwing that out there one more time.

I wouldn't read into that too much.

It sounds like the UC contract extension situation is keeping BK from talking about his future. It was either "confidential" or "resource issue" that is keeping BK from answering questions. Hopefully, UC is willing to liberalize a bit to meet BK's need for the UC football program.

Something I heard on the radio this morning is that when BK renegotiated his contract into the current one, two clauses were changed that would make it contractually more difficult to leave UC:

                          1) removal of the deadline of December 1, 2009 for the construction of the practice bubble - removing this means he can't say UC defaulted on the contract

                          2) a separation clause was changed such that he would owe UC a lot more money that before if he left the school before January (not sure the day, but well after the 1st).

Now, given ND's deep pockets, I'm sure that last one would not be that much of an impact since I doubt BK would pay that fee.

I think deep down we all know, if BK was not seriously interested in going to ND, he would have said so a long time ago. Sure he could use his silence as leverage for his UC extention but based on some of his replies, i think its clear. He is very, very, VERY interested in the Notre Dame job. It just hasn't been finalized yet. (Or even announced yet). They may possibly be in the final stages of an agreement now. I wouldnt be surprised one bit if that happens by tomorrow. I hate to say it.

Did Mick Cronin ask students to do the work? Is he BK's buddy? I have no idea about the relationship between BK and MC.
