Well if he has no offer from Notre Dame, what is the decision?

Jimmy Claussen and Golden Tate leaving for the NFL...Makes that potential first season all the more challenging.

People are freakin out about the DP interview but I am refreshed that he was honest about everything.

If this is true, I still don't see why ND would seriously consider Edsall. I love the guy as a coach and everything but can you imagine ND hiring a guy that isn't a big name, and went 7-5 and finished fifth in the Big East? well, at least he already proved he can out coach Weis...
Here's why, he has built a pretty good footbal program from scratch. CT is not exactly the football hotbead of America but he has gotten talent to come there. I think he could be much more effective with the talent he could get at ND. His style is consistent with what they think is necessary to win, run heavy offense and strong defense. Personality wise he is exactly what they want, not too flashy and cool under pressure. I thought he would go to Syracuse but I think thier outdated facilities scared him away. ND could be the perfect fit.

Here's a pic of the artist at work. He does resemble ET a bit

Yep, I'd actually love to see Edsall here if BK moves on. Not sure that he would come though, and probably view it as more of a lateral move.

I came away ecouraged. He isnt BSing us. I like it. But if he told the guys he is staying I would be dissappointed if he pulled a Dantanio.

They only have to face the music for 1 team meeting and then they can move on to their next job and forget it all. I don't think "pulling a Dantonio" is a Mark Dantonio thing. It's the reality of the situation.

If your coworkers asked you to announce publically if you were interviewing for other jobs or not, you would probably try to find a sneaky way to give them a non-answer or flat out lie.

I was not a big Dantonio fan but it's not really fair to make him out to be more greedy than the rest of them. BK talked publically about the country needing to view UC as a destination but when asked if he plans to make it his "destination" he seems very much uncomfortable saying, "Yes".

At least the circus will be over in a week. Most media types I know (including some people very closely attached to the Bearcats "beat") think Kelly is gone.

You can give it a patriotic name, but it still sucks.

The issue is that Kelly called out Mark Dantonio, by name, and said that he wasn't going to be him. He invoked the name of another man to say he was better than him.

It's one thing to waffle, dodge, and duck questions. It's another thing to call out a dude for being two-faced right before you do the same thing.

I wouldn't have lost respect for Kelly if he bolted for ND to better his own career. I will lose respect for Kelly if he bolts after trashing out Mark Dantonio, as recently as a week ago, for doing the same thing he's about to.

ESPN just reported that BK WILL interview for the ND position, tomorrow in NYC.

Great point, agree. Also, who on here really found fault with Dantonio's desicion at that time? I wasn't happy about it but it made perfect sense at then. Kelly's has a much tougher decision than Dantonio had. If it comes down to winning I think it's an easy choice.

Watching Sportscenter... they're reporting that BK is interviewing at ND on Tuesday.

Then again, Saturday night they were also reporting that ND would announce a head coach on Sunday (yesterday)

                              Purdue '15

Football coach scoop now has (and once again who knows the credibility of it):

                                Notre Dame:
Our sources tell us the next Head Coach will be either Randy Edsall (UConn Head Coach) or Skip Holtz (East Carolina Head Coach).
