That's a lot of money! The Big 12 was smarter than other conferences in requesting members sign a 99 year commitment in addition to GoR for tv deal. The combination of fees has been too massive as of yet. I don't see OU or Texass paying both fees even if money is there because it still doesn't pay out even with SEC tv deal with ESPNLeave a comment:

Any chance they can just convert it to a proper Big XII Network?

I’d go for that, presuming ESPN makes it worth enough.Dodd: As a consequence of @Big12Conference starting negotiations early with rightsholders sources tell CBS Sports there are now active discussions regarding Texas and Oklahoma leaving early for the SEC.Leave a comment:

Most likely to do with the PAC breaking up. Those schools want to know what their number look like from both sides before they make a decision. Networks will work to break up the PAC how they see fitLeave a comment:

Big 12 TV rights discussion is about to open up with ESPN and FOX. They're going early by mutual agreement. This wasn't scheduled to be done until 2024.

Well, I mean I'm not going to delete it but if you're suggesting a different thread and title going forward, I've been thinking about that for a while anyway. This time next year, we will be looking at one heck of a gauntlet as we enter Big 12 conference play for the first time. We will look back and say Arkansas would be the 7th or 8th best team on the schedule. I am truly excited about playing the likes of Baylor, Ok State (the real OSU), K State, TT, TCU, ISU, WVU and even Kansas, plus a couple years with UT-Austin (not San Antonio, El Paso, or other UT cities), and the big bad Oklahoma Sooners. Add in a sprinkling of very good former AAC foes UH and UCF, along with national powerhouse BYU. We will need to keep Miami Redhawks on the schedule just to have a guaranteed win each year (mostly sarcasm, not too much disrespect to the MAC).
Hey Moderators, any chance t delete the USC/UCLA thread? I'm tired of seeing that title to talk Big 12 expansion. I'm also a little tired of Big 12 expansion chit chat, and ready to focus on games.Leave a comment:
