I have it on decent authority that no more NIL collectives will reach 501c3 status and those that were given it early on in the process will have that designation pulled. So if you were hoping to get a tax deduction at some point from Cincy Reigns for money already donated, it's not happening.

However, similar to what UCF and couple of other schools have done because of the House v NCAA settlement, we may see Cincy Reigns swallowed by the Athletic Dept. which MIGHT put the tax deduction back on the table. Lots of moving parts there to be sure.

With pay-4-play sadly now on the table, it was pointed out to me that we are better off spending whatever buyout Satt is owed and invest it into NIL deals to improve chances of being competitive in recruiting and transfer portal. Do you have any idea what we currently spend and if we have ability to spend more on NIL annually? I know we won't be in the Michigan ($16 Mil) or Oh St ($20 mil) range, but we should be in range with top quarter of the Big 12 to field a competitive team. The argument being that Satt deserves another year (at minimum) and if we had the money for a buyout, spending it on players would see a quick return on investment in terms of wins.
