I read the agent thing as if Luke has always had the agent and it was nothing new.

Rut Roh. I hope we're not reading too much into that

I wish I was that football coach. When I coached at first it was volunteer, and then $3216 for the season came out to something like .12 cents an hour.

Could you imagine the thunderous noise if TX A&M tried to fire Jimbo Fisher for cause? How did he merit a $95M+ buyout?

Ahead of around 1/3 of the power 5 and way ahead of the next in the group of 5. I wonder what is up with Brian Kelly? Where are they hiding it?

The article gave a regrade for all of the coaches. Luke earned a well deserved A+. If you don't have a subscription to the Athletic, you should try it. They have a lot of good articles and the UC beat writer, Justin Williams is excellent.

Premium article, so I'll spare the whole excerpt. But I wanted to share the following grades of the Fickell hire:

    Original grades
    • ESPN: C+
    • CBS: C+
    • SI: B
    • Fox Sports: B
    • SB Nation: B

    Via Dan Hoard on Twitter:

With the opening at USC, the LA Times sent @BradyMcCollough to Cincinnati to profile Luke Fickell. This is an outstanding look at the Fickell family. https://www.latimes.com/sports/usc/s...oaching-search

Since the "Tommy Tuberville" thread is closed in the Where are they now? section, I wanted to point out that on this day eight years ago -- August 31, 2013 -- UC crushed Purdue 42-7 in the opening game of the Tuberville era. https://www.espn.com/college-footbal...meId/332432132

With that in mind.... a special shoutout to Luke Fickell for being Luke Fickell and doing big things at UC!
