Best to start a "catch all" thread. The price of having a great coach. Thx. Fick!

Fickell was a topic of discussion over dinner on Saturday evening with a group of UC fans. The consensus was he made a grave error leaving for Wisconsin. Had he remained at UC, he could have cemented his legacy at UC and been a fixture associated with the program. UW was always going to be no better than 3-4 in the B1G. I think his assistant coaches knew that and bailed at the first opportunity to leave. Now he struggles to recreate the success he once had at UC and will eventually pay for it. That was the summary of our conversation.

Wisconsin lost to an overrated UM team today by 2 touchdowns.

I betcha they pay it. They can't keep him at this point unless he runs the table in Big 10 play which isn't happening.

Wonder if he regrets leaving Cincy or if he knew he would struggle here too after all of the NFL talent we had during his tenure had left. Or maybe he was cashing in on his bag while he could get the most, hard to say... I'll always appreciate him staying for our playoff run though... most of our past coaches would have bailed ahead of that
I believe he saw a major loss of talent and without his coordinators to do the proper rebuilding - Mike Denbrock and Marcus Freeman. Were these two the secret to the successful teams.

They owe him $25 million if the let him go. I doubt they fire him during the year. Maybe after the season.
Couldn't happen to a nicer traitor!
