Jeff Caldwell signed as a free agent by KC. Called it.

So the Godfather didn’t even get an UDFA offer? That’s a shame.

Word is that many NFL staff remain concerned about the blood clotting that Corleone suffered in 2024. Also, he reportedly went through tightrope surgery several weeks ago in regard to the high ankle sprain that he incurred early last season. The tibia and fibula are connected via ligaments that hold them together. In the past, when the ligaments had torn, surgeons would insert a screw to lock the two bones together. That limited natural flexibility. The tightrope surgery involves drilling a small hole through each bone, then threading a plastic fiber through the hole, capping it off at each end.

I was worried about that last season, at many critical times he wasn’t on the field. That defense needed him badly, but he played so few snaps. I thought at the time it would hurt him in the draft.
