The ability to monetize social media accounts is not in my wheelhouse, but I guess the more star power, the more people want to follow like a celebrity. I do not think it should be like NASCAR where a play wears certain hats or patches on warmups. At some point the NCAA and the schools will have to agree that boosters buying recruits is a no-no and how to police it.
The rules, if any, are unclear at best. The NCAA has made no ruling or determination. Get them while you can I imagine

It just encourages shady boosters to not only come out of the shadows but the freedom to dig deeper in their pockets in hopes of " buying" a national championship. I dont see where schools who are not deemed as elite can compete in this scenario.

So do you want to see a South Florida versus Stetson game (even with better $$ recruiting) or tOSU v. Alabama or now USC v. Georgia

^What many of us have been saying. Saban just confirmed our fears.

Nick Saban: Current NIL setup 'creates a situation where you can basically buy players'

Saw that AJ McGinnis recently visited SIU-Edwardsville. Perhaps we can remember that when we talk about upgrading the roster next year (noting also that Utah and Boston College -- the two "power conference" destinations for Saunders and Madsen -- had lower KenPom and NET ratings than UC did this season).

Louisville transfer Samuel Williamson to SMU. Was a 5-star recruit but didn't perform that well for the Cards.

    Mason Madsen to Boston College.

I did not see either Madsen transferring to a major league, not that Utah or BC are very good right now. https://twitter.com/masmadsen/status...85571957481480

Meechie Johnson, a former low 4-star recruit who was potentially going to start at PG for OSU next year as a sophomore, has gone portaling. From Cleveland.

I'd personally add that if you are frustrated by Mika Adams-Woods, Phinisee won't make you feel very good. Though maybe stepping down a level may help him.
Rob Phinisee from IU is down to Butler and UC. I'd lean Butler because Thad Matta was employed by Indiana this past season. https://twitter.com/robphinisee1/sta...46625017888776

Has one year left. Could start at PG.
