“So far Cincinnati, Pitt, Oregon, Baylor, Kent State, Jacksonville, Arizona State, and Washington have offered. I’m also receiving interest from Ohio State, and Kentucky has been to a few of my games.”
Even though he won’t turn 16 for another week or so, Jayden Quaintance is one of the most physically imposing and athletic players in the country regardless of class. Not only does he play above the rim and have the ability to muscle up players a few years older than him, Quaintance has touch, skill and is getting better at a rapid pace. He appears to have just about every tool you would want a modern big man to have and he has been impressive in every setting — the EYBL, USA Basketball, NBPA Camp — where 247Sports has seen him play over the past few months.
As mentioned above, Jayden is a Top 10 2025 recruit who is reclassifying to 2024.
There is a new VIP/premium article on 247 about him and visits he is planning. While I can't read it, the fact that 247's Travis Branham started a new thread on Bearcat Journal's board on this topic suggests that JQ is planning or at least considering a visit to UC.
Per a UK site, Quaintance's father said the family are interested in the schools recruiting him hardest. While not mentioning visits, he did lay out that UC, UK, Mizzou and tO$U have been heavily involved. KS came in late. Apparently, relative proximity to home is a plus. He specifically spelled out UC, UK & tO$U in this regard.
In another article, Jayden said he has made an unofficial visit to UK and "visits" to UC. He speaks to CWM a lot. He said he plans to visit tO$U, WA & UC "soon". He likes UC "a lot."
